I was born in Georgia, but Virginia is where my culinary journey began. I started out as a chef, and when an opportunity opened up to become a pastry chef, I took it and fell headfirst into baking.
Plot twist: I'm celiac, so the main ingredient in most baked goods is the one thing I can't eat. Yes, terrible career planning. Learning to bake that way was hard, but I love it too much to quit.
